Hair? Jew ‘fros
Age? Both in our 50s.
Go-to hairstyle? A messy curly bun atop our head.
Growing up curly? Our moms cut our hair short because they didn’t know what the heck to do with it.
Our companies? Both celebrating their 15th year.
Do we straighten? Never. Our curls have become a part of our identity.

I’ve just met my curly twin, and she happens to be makeup artist Sonia Kashuk, who created a makeup line for Target. I called to talk hair and we ended up talking about life, daughters, entrepreneurship, makeup, etc.

Like me, she saw a void in the market and thought there was always room for a good idea – luxury-quality makeup for the masses. Sonia Kashuk has stood the test of time, competing against major makeup lines with a head start of decades.

“We’ve stood the test of time. You can never think I’ve made it, You have to fight each day to get better and smarter and understand what’s next and stay modern.”
