The Curl Revolution: NaturallyCurly's Book Takes Shape!

book-cover-photoOver the years, there were many times when we considered compiling some of the best tips and stories from our website into a book. But to do a book that would truly reflect the power of NaturallyCurly—and be worthy of the many other people who have helped shape the curly world—would take time and resources. Time was always in short supply. Every day there was so much that needed to be done – clients to call, stories to write, products to sell. And there were always meetings—lots of meetings.

In numerous conversations over the past year—with other industry pioneers, influencers, and curly girl -the idea for the book kept bubbling to the surface.

There came a point where it could not be ignored. This book had to happen. We had to make the time.

Having been a part of the curl revolution since the beginning—before there was a curly world— I have the unique perspective. I’ve had the good fortune to work closely with so many of the pioneers in the curly world.

Because NaturallyCurly has no single point of view, but provides information about all techniques, philosophies and product offerings, I’ve learned that this isn’t a one-size-fits-all industry.

Our community represents a wide range of ethnicities, age groups, and hair textures from around the world. The diversity of our readers has given me an appreciation for the wide range of hair concerns and curl journeys.

In “The Curl Revolution: Inspiring Stories and Practical Advice from the NaturallyCurly Community,” we have compiled some of the best information from NaturallyCurly’s experts and community members collected over the past two decades. We will take you through every step of the curl experience, from figuring out your texture type to figuring out your ideal regimen to finding the right cuts and styles.

The book will launch Fall '17, and we'll be doing a book tour from New York to L.A. and all points in between.
